Turning the city’s parks into golf courses is a dream for many New Yorkers and one that the American City Parks Foundation decided to carry out for the benefit of the most disadvantaged.

Twice a week from April to October, 3,500 youngsters from New York aged 6 to 13 are able to play golf. For twenty years, the Foundation has also being giving children the chance to enjoy other cultural activities in the city’s 750 parks (concerts, shows, etc.).

The project’s aim is two-fold: not only allow children to discover team spirit, motivation, self-confidence, patience and respect for others, but also attain a sufficiently good level to secure scholarships to top American universities where sport is a major focus.

The Fondation LACOSTE has supported the City Parks Foundation since 2010.

Actions on the Green

We owe the passion for this sport to René Lacoste’s wife, Simone. Thanks to our Foundation, 4000 young people each year have the opportunity to have fun and to improve on the greens.

Actions on the Court

In tribute to René Lacoste, the Foundation supports associations with a key focus on tennis. Each year, this allows more than 8,000 young people to discover and play tennis.
