“Sport dans la Ville” is a French nonprofit organization which, each week, allows 3,000 young people from difficult neighborhoods to develop their potential through sport in the stable and stimulating environment of its sports facilities.

The organization runs a specific program for young girls called “L dans la Ville”. The Fondation LACOSTE has been supporting this program designed to nurture the self-fulfillment of young girls through sport since 2011. In line with the program’s aims, a tennis activity for young girls was launched in 2014. Since then, and thanks to the Fondation LACOSTE support, 160 girls from the Rhône-Alpes and Ile-de-France regions are able to play tennis for two hours a week.

Actions on the Court

In tribute to René Lacoste, the Foundation supports associations with a key focus on tennis. Each year, this allows more than 8,000 young people to discover and play tennis.

Actions on the Green

We owe the passion for this sport to René Lacoste’s wife, Simone. Thanks to our Foundation, 4000 young people each year have the opportunity to have fun and to improve on the greens.
