OLYMPICS

AUGUST, 5

2016 was also the year of the Olympic Games in Rio: a superb opportunity for the Foundation to celebrate the opening of the games with Gol de Letra, its supervisors and around 20 young people at Club France in Rio. Most members of the LACOSTE Olympic team qualified for the games were there to run a tennis clinic with the children: Benoît Paire, Alizé Cornet, Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut, and even Mickael Jeremiasz, the French flag bearer of the Paralympic Games.

It was a great moment, rich in shared experiences and emotions with

Béryl Lacoste Hamilton and the famous footballer Rai, who is also co-founder of the Gol de Letra Foundation.

The LACOSTE Group was also largely represented by its CEO Thierry Guibert and several members of the executive committee who were all delighted to witness the joy of the children.

“Madame Lacoste, can you play with me?” – a young tennis player from Gol de Letra -.

Actions on the Green

We owe the passion for this sport to René Lacoste’s wife, Simone. Thanks to our Foundation, 4000 young people each year have the opportunity to have fun and to improve on the greens.

Actions on the Court

In tribute to René Lacoste, the Foundation supports associations with a key focus on tennis. Each year, this allows more than 8,000 young people to discover and play tennis.
